Millenium Park
Considered city's most important project since the World's Columbian Expostition in 1893 the astonishing Millenium Park trails only Navy Pier as a Chicago tourist attraction as of 2009. It's a public park located at the Loop community area of Chicago. The adress is 103 N. Michigan Ave. Chicago IL 60602.
Millenium Park has a bandshell called the Jay Pritzker Pavillion which was designed by Frank Gehry. The pavillion has 4,000 fixed seats and could sit an additional 7,000 at the lawn. It is a place where many ceremonies and concerts take place. There is the AT&T Plaza and Cloud Gate. The plaza is an area that holds the Cloud Gate sculpture which opened in July of 2004. The Cloud Gate is a steel sculpture which many tourists visit and take pictures. There is also the Crown Fountain which is a work of public art and a video sculpture. This tower is 50 feet tall and opened in July 2004. It is very interactive because there is a face on the tower and the face's lips pucker and it is timed so when it's time the water starts spouting out at the place the lips are. The park is open daily to public from 6 A.M. to 11 P.M. And there are many more features at Millenium Park.
For facilities such as snacks, lockers, showers, bike repair, and more you can visit the McDonald's Cycle Center.
